  1. This book reads like a first draft. The plot is pretty good and the science (real or not) is interesting. But the dialog is primitive and the spelling, grammar, and punctuation are horrible. Interesting that the scientific explanations are better written than the dialog.

If you can’t stand typos and commas in the wrong places, steer well clear of this book. Otherwise, you might enjoy the story. I’m just glad I bought the Kindle version–it really isn’t worth the price of the hardbound.

I suspect the author self-published. If she wants to do this again, I advise her STRONGLY to join a writer’s group, listen closely to their critiques, and pay for a professional editor. Rating: 3 / 5

  2. weak ending, and I quickly became tired reading the characters say ‘I love you’ over and over and over. Rating: 1 / 5

I wish I hadn’t read it, the plot is silly, the dialogue repeats itself, one of the characters keeps biting her lower lip every 2-3 pages – wow what a suspense it creates – I “wonder why” this book only cost 0.99$, probably if I paid more I would ask for a refund. And the disaster that hits America, worries the characters as much as whether they are going to escape their captors, not to mention that none of the other people in the place they are at, appear to be concerned about their loved ones, or even their comrades which appear to have not contacted them for several days, I wonder what happened to them :) Rating: 1 / 5

I’m glad I bought the Kindle version of this book. I persisted, but was constantly dissapointed with the lack of editing throughout. The repetitive descriptions and unnecessary detail for minor points took away from what could have been a much more richly developed plot. Rating: 1 / 5

From page one, the poor writing was a turn-off. After forcing myself to read 14 pages, I couldn’t handle it any more: bad prose, uninteresting storyline. I just plain didn’t care. The sample excerpt on the Amazon page should have been warning enough. Rating: 1 / 5
